Minneapolis, Minn. – The Minnesota Star Tribune Media Company, the largest news organization in the Midwest, today announced their plans for the 2024 Minnesota State Fair. The freshly rebranded and relaunched media company is planning 12 days of events to engage Minnesotans from around the state during the Great Minnesota Get Together®.

“Like all Minnesotans, we look forward to this time of year as a moment to gather and celebrate all of the great things our state has to offer,” said Steve Grove, Publisher and CEO of the Star Tribune. “We’re excited to greet our fellow Minnesotans face-to-face as the Minnesota Star Tribune and celebrate the end of another amazing summer in our state.”

Fairgoers are invited to participate in a variety of activities at Minnesota Star Tribune’s newly rebranded and remodeled building, located on Carnes Avenue in front of the Grandstand.

    • Rhubarb Crisp lip balm will be free to all fairgoers while supplies last courtesy of Chanhassen Dinner Theatres. A State Fair tradition, this year’s lip balm flavor, Rhubarb Crisp, is the first ever to be chosen by Minnesota Star Tribune readers and pays homage to a classic Minnesota summer dessert.
    • In addition, kids of all ages are invited to participate in a twice-daily game of Duck, Duck, Gray Duck, hosted by the Minnesota Star Tribune’s new mascot, Stribby. Fun prizes will be awarded daily.
    • Presented by Primrose Schools, photo opportunities will be available every day at the newly refreshed backyard mural featuring iconic scenes from across Minnesota.
    • A complete schedule of events is available here and fairgoers are encouraged to stop by the Minnesota Star Tribune building for day-of information and updates.
