Star Tribune and Pioneer Press Extend Printing Contract Into 2027

3-year deal includes printing and insertions for the St. Paul-based daily newspaper

Minneapolis, Minn. – The Star Tribune Media Company, the largest news organization in the Midwest, today announced it has reached an agreement with the Pioneer Press to continue printing its daily newspaper through 2027. The Star Tribune has printed the Pioneer Press since 2014 and is also contracted to manage other operational functions like trucking and a portion of the distribution for the St. Paul-based publication.

The Star Tribune, which has a long history of excellence in print production, will provide the Pioneer Press with high-quality printing services and other commercial support like trucking and distribution out of its Heritage printing plant in Minneapolis’s North Loop District.
