Top national and regional leaders will gather on Sept. 22 and 23 to discuss the issues, ideas and solutions for shaping the future of the Midwest

Minneapolis, Minn. – The Minnesota Star Tribune today announced that tickets are now on sale for the second annual North Star Summit, the Midwest’s premier platform for ideas, impact and leadership. The event will take place Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2026, at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis. Additional summit experiences include a post-summit networking workshop on Wednesday, Sept. 23 (included in the ticket price) and a pre-summit VIP dinner on Monday, Sept 21 (with the purchase of a VIP ticket).

Building off last year’s successful event, the summit will bring a collection of top business, political, and cultural leaders together for substantive talks, newsmaker interviews and panel discussions. The Midwest’s most influential leaders – both in the audience and on the stage – will come together to explore the forces shaping the future of the Midwest and the nation.

“The success of last year’s inaugural North Star Summit showed that Minnesotans, and Midwesterners more broadly, are shaping culture and policy well beyond our borders,” said Steve Grove, publisher and CEO of the Minnesota Star Tribune. “In 2026, we will continue to highlight the conversations and developments that are borne in the Midwest but resonate nationwide.”

Last year’s inaugural North Star Summit convened governors, Fortune 500 executives, nationally recognized journalists and cultural leaders, earning coverage from regional and national media outlets. North Star Summit 2026 will showcase the Midwest’s leading voices and offer attendees deep insights they can apply to their work and daily lives. View key moments from North Star Summit 2025.
