Second annual year-in-review event to offer a dynamic reflection on the stories that shaped Minnesota in 2025

Minneapolis, Minn. — The Minnesota Star Tribune today announced the return of The Wrap, an innovative, immersive experience that revisits the year’s most defining stories across the state of Minnesota. Following the success of its inaugural event last year, The Wrap returns to celebrate Minnesota and its people through the lens of journalism and storytelling.

Taking place on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026 at the Minnesota Star Tribune’s Heritage printing facility in the North Loop of Minneapolis, the event invites guests to explore interactive environments and exhibits inspired by 2025’s most impactful stories – told through the unique journalistic lens of the Midwest’s largest news outlet.

“Now in its second year, The Wrap is both a reflection on Minnesota’s collective journey through the year and a celebration of the people and ideas that make our state remarkable,” said Steve Grove, publisher and CEO.

Featuring live local music, curated food, beverages and cocktails from some of Minnesota’s top culinary talents, and dynamic visual and interactive installations, The Wrap brings journalism off the page and into a dynamic, multisensory experience. Celebrity chefs and entertainment details will be announced soon at startribune.com/thewrap

Proceeds from The Wrap’s silent and online auction will benefit the Local News Fund, supporting vital local reporting across the state.

Preliminary schedule for the evening:

6 p.m. Evening begins with live music from local talent, food and drink offerings from this year’s featured chefs, exploration of immersive story installations, and opportunities to participate in the silent auction and raffle.
