Editor and Senior Vice President
Suki Dardarian is Star Tribune’s editor and senior vice president. Since joining the company in 2014, she has helped lead a newsroom of more than 245 journalists effectively covering stories of interest and importance to the people of Minnesota – from breaking news coverage to investigative projects – in print and online. She has overseen stories or projects at multiple newspapers that were Pulitzer Prize winners or finalists.
Previously, Dardarian was a reporter and editor in Washington state, at The Everett Herald and The News Tribune in Tacoma, Washington. She also had a 14-year career with the Seattle Times, where, as managing editor directing news and enterprise coverage, the paper won a 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News. In addition to her leadership at the Star Tribune, Dardarian is a past president of the Associated Press Media Editors, a member of the American Society of Newspaper Editors, and a two-time Pulitzer Prize juror. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communication and political science from the University of Washington.
