Star Tribune Launches “Star Tribune Connect” Program, Providing Grants to Underrepresented Business Owners
Up to four Businesses Will Share $200,000 in Star Tribune Advertising Credits for 2021
MINNEAPOLIS – Nov. 5, 2020 – Star Tribune Media Co., Minnesota’s largest media company, today launched Star Tribune Connect (startribune.com/connect) an innovative program to accelerate the growth of underrepresented and minority-owned businesses through advertising and marketing collaboration.
The initiative will award up to four qualifying Minnesota businesses a total of $200,000 in credits ($50,000 each) that can be applied toward advertising and marketing campaigns that leverage Star Tribune media properties. The winners will also receive a branded content story about their business and access to other Star Tribune advertising and marketing services. The program is open to licensed businesses registered in the state of Minnesota with underrepresented or minority ownership.
Applications are being accepted by the Star Tribune until Dec. 5 at StarTribune.com/connect. Winners will be chosen by the Star Tribune’s Selection & Oversight Committee, a group of employee volunteers, and will be announced January 2021. The four winners must spend their credits within calendar year 2021.
