Star Tribune Appoints Marie Ross and Brad Larson to Senior Sales Positions for Digital Marketing Solutions

MINNEAPOLIS – Jan. 25, 2016 – Star Tribune Media Co., Minnesota’s largest media company, today announced that it has promoted Brad Larson and Marie Ross to senior sales positions with greater responsibilities for the company’s increasingly vital digital advertising and marketing solutions. Both will report to Ray Faust, vice president of emerging media.

As the new director of paid media, Ross will manage and extend Star Tribune’s acclaimed Advantage Digital Services portfolio, which enables audience targeting for advertisers in Minnesota and around the country using first- and third-party data, programmatic buying, paid search, and social media. She will manage a team of digital-marketing specialists, develop new products and solutions, and act as the “go-to” sales contact for major accounts. Ross was previously an account executive and manager of channel revenue for Star Tribune. She’s also worked in sales for Comcast. She’s a graduate of the University of St. Thomas, where she studied journalism.

Larson, the company’s new director of digital business development, has been with Star Tribune for 13 years in a range of sales capacities, working with neighborhood businesses and Fortune 500 corporations alike. In his newest role, he will consult with clients to help them achieve business goals through a range of online strategies that blend media planning, brand-building, customer engagement, and measurable results. Earlier, he worked in public relations and internal communications. Larson is a graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Journalism and Mass Communication, where he studied broadcasting.
