Sid Fans help keep Sid’s fans cool at Minnesota State Fair

WHAT: Sid Hartman, the man who has kindled many a heated sports debate, now has a way to keep his fans cool. Sid Fans (Sid’s image on a stick) will be available to fairgoers at this year’s Minnesota State Fair.

WHY: The Sid Fans are part of the advance promotion for Sid’s new book, Sid Hartman’s Great Minnesota Sports Moments, written with Joel Rippel. The book goes on sale at local bookstores this fall.

Prerelease copies will be available at the Star Tribune booth at the

Minnesota State Fair. Sid will be there to autograph them: Sunday, Aug.27, 12:15 – 1:15 p.m., and Sunday, Sept. 3, 11:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
