Paul Kasbohm promoted to Executive Director of Retail and National Advertising at the Star Tribune

Minneapolis/St. Paul - (March 17, 2006) - The Star Tribune today announced today that Paul Kasbohm has been promoted to the newly created position of Executive Director of Retail and National Advertising. He will report to Bonnie Laux, vice president, Display Advertising.

Kasbohm assumes responsibility for the Retail Majors group and he will remain instrumental in leading the National team. Bringing his extensive success and experience to this assignment, Paul will focus on honing the Star Tribune’s sales strategy with Major and National accounts.

Kasbohm joined the company in 1997 and his first assignment was in Classified Recruitment sales. He joined the Display sales team in 1999 as an account manager and was promoted to assistant sales manager of National in 2002, to sales manager of National in 2003, and to his current assignment as sales director of the National team in 2004. In all of these assignments, he has demonstrated leadership in helping the Star Tribune to grow its base of sales opportunities.

Kasbohm has a bachelor’s degree in applied economics with a marketing emphasis from the University of Minnesota. He is working on his master’s degree at the University of St. Thomas.
