Billie Jean King to speak at 2006 Star Tribune Women’s Lecture Series presented by Herberger’s

Minneapolis/St. Paul - (February 24, 2006) - Billie Jean King serves up the life story that has made her a legend when she speaks at Orchestra Hall in downtown Minneapolis, Monday, Feb. 27, 7:30 p.m. King is the second speaker in the 10th anniversary season of the Star Tribune Women's Lecture Series presented by Herberger’s and produced by SMART TALK.

As one of the 20th century's most respected women, Billie Jean King has long been a champion of social change and equality. Through her foundation, World Team Tennis Charities, King works to inspire all humankind in the pursuit of excellence regardless of race, gender, physical or mental challenges, appearance or sexual orientation. King created new inroads for women in and out of sports and she continues to make her mark today.
