Kaye Gibbons is Talking Volumes featured author in January

Minneapolis/St. Paul - (January 4, 2006) - Kaye Gibbons and her book, “The Life All Around Me, by Ellen Foster,” is the Talking Volumes featured book for January.” This is the sequel to Gibbons’ bestselling “Ellen Foster.” Now the scrappy protagonist who survived an appalling childhood filled with predatory adults navigates the wide world with wit and wisdom.

Talking Volumes is the regional book club of the Star Tribune, Minnesota Public Radio and The Loft Literary Center. Author events are recorded for later broadcast on Minnesota Public Radio’s Midmorning. Each author is profiled in an article in the Star Tribune and on StarTribune.com, and interviewed on Minnesota Public Radio’s Midmorning prior to the event. Original work by Talking Volumes authors also appears in the Loft’s literary magazine, “Speakeasy.”
