Star Tribune Wins First Place at INMA Conference

Minneapolis/St. Paul - (May 18, 2005) - The Star Tribune received a first place award in the 70th Annual International Newspaper Marketing Association (INMA) competition, honoring excellence in newspaper marketing worldwide. More than 1,045 entries from 165 newspapers in 29 countries competed in this contest. Judging is based on concept, creativity, copy/graphic design, production, and overall effectiveness, as well as results.

The winning entry was the Market Brochure, created by the in-house creative team of Art Directors Judy Sell and Laura Stanke and Copywriter Kris Dunlap. It was recognized in the “Newspaper Research/Data Books and Media Packets” category. Designed to mimic a retro cookbook, it was delivered to prospective advertisers complete with a hot pad.
