Star Tribune Reports Daily Circulation GrowthMinneapolis/St. Paul - (May 2, 2005) - The Star Tribune continues to grow its daily circulation, according to the March 2005 Audit Bureau of Circulation (ABC) FAS-FAX released today.
Daily (6-day) circulation averaged 378,316 –up 1,259 copies or 0.3 percent from March 2004’s performance of 377,057.
Sunday circulation averaged 655,198 – down 16,077 or 2.4 percent from last year’s performance of 671,275.
“Over the past year, we have focused more intently on growing circulation through home-delivery, and we are seeing progress on our daily numbers,” said Steve Alexander, senior vice president, Circulation. “Our new community editions targeted in the South, West and North suburbs have helped in this goal. On Sunday, we are challenged by the increasingly busy lifestyles of our readers, but we are finding ways to address this issue.”
