Job Description: Administer the company’s health and welfare benefits, including enrollments, family status changes and coordinating benefit plans with outside vendors. Coordinates the administration of company leave and disability programs and provides administration support for applicant recruitment activities. Interact frequently with employees and vendors and will also support other HR functions as needed.
Qualifications: 3+ year’s human resources administration experience, including health & welfare benefits administration experience and knowledge of recruitment processes. Additional qualifications include excellent customer service orientation, strong communication/ interpersonal skills, with demonstrated collaboration and administration skills; demonstrated problem solving skills and decision making skills. Requires demonstrated skills in working with confidential data. Must be able to effectively meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Requires organizational and multi-task skills and demonstrated skills and experience using a variety of computer software programs. Prefer knowledge of ADA, HIPAA, FMLA, COBRA, employment law and related legislation, PeopleSoft and/or similar database software. Experience working in a union environment helpful.
