Job Description: The Star Tribune is offering an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to sell advertising in our highly sought after niche product. This position is responsible for identifying and selling print and online advertising for vita.mn magazine, a weekly entertainment and lifestyle guide, as well as event sponsorships. Establishes new categories of business and maintains relationships with established customers. Maintains a thorough understanding of customer's business goals, products and services. Knowledgeable of competitive media and industry trends. Plans, prepares and delivers presentations to customer contact and often serves as a customer's marketing expert.

Qualifications: Minimum of 2-3 years successful sales and territory management experience. Requires degree or equivalent sales experience. Previous experience in bringing new products to market is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail. Must have strong negotiation, presentation and problem solving skills with the demonstrated ability to sell a wide range of products and close business rapidly. Previous experience selling advertising or media products and/or related services, helpful. Degree in Advertising, Marketing, communications or related field strongly preferred.
