Jon Ochetti Vice President, Finance

Jon Ochetti, vice president, Finance, is responsible for financial planning activities, including operating and capital budgets. He also manages the finance staff who support various departments within the Star Tribune. Prior to being promoted to his current position, Ochetti was director of financial planning & analysis, where he played a pivotal role in the transition of the Star Tribune's ownership to Avista.

Ochetti started at the Star Tribune in 1997 and has served in a variety of leadership roles during his tenure at the company, including positions in accounting, as finance leader of IT/Administration, and as finance leader of Circulation.

Prior to joining the Star Tribune, Ochetti, who is a CPA, held financial management positions at Regis Corporation and McDonald's Corporation. He started his career in public accounting at KPMG Peat Marwick in Minneapolis.

Ochetti has a bachelor's degree in business, with a major in accounting, from the University of Minnesota.
