Tacy joined the company in 2004, bringing with him 15 years of print and online journalism experience. A former newspaper reporter in the New England area, he transitioned to online news by joining the small team that developed and launched The New York Times website in 1996. He was the site’s first news editor and also served as managing editor. Three years later, he became editor of MotherJones.com.
He is a graduate of Wesleyan University.
