Kristie Alberty, Director Post Press Operations

Kristie Alberty was promoted to director of post press operations in 2006. She is responsible for the mailroom and machine shop operations at the Star Tribune’s Heritage production plant. One of her key responsibilities is overseeing the implementation of new inserting equipment in the mailroom.

Alberty joined the Star Tribune in 1977 and was, most recently, director of IT applications. Her accomplishments include leading the installation of a new pagination system, new publishing systems for advertising and news, and a new financial system of record.

Alberty has a bachelor’s degree in political science and history from Macalester College.
