L. Gordon Crovitz, of New York, is a former Wall Street Journal publisher and Dow Jones executive who was responsible for the growth of that company’s highly successful digital businesses, including The Wall Street Journal Online, MarketWatch, Barron’s Online, Dow Jones Newswires, Dow Jones Indexes and Factiva. He currently works as an advisor and director to information and technology companies, specializing in business transformations. He is the co-founder of Journalism Online, designed to help newspapers and other publishers monetize their online content, and he is on the board of directors of ProQuest, an online information service, and Blurb, a digital publishing company. Additionally, he writes the “Information Age” column for The Wall Street Journal and is on the advisory boards of a number of technology companies including UpCompany, Halogen Guides, YouNoodle, Peer39, SkyGrid, ExpertCEO and others.
