Cause Marketing

The Star Tribune supports the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Twin Cities Race for the Cure.

Cause marketing is successful because it builds awareness for both the cause and the advertisers who support the cause. The Cone Corporate Citizenship Study found that 84 percent of Americans would consider switching to a brand associated with a good cause. Cause marketing allows companies to improve lives in their community, while enhancing their brand position and strengthening customer loyalty.

The Star Tribune offers a variety of sponsorship packages for each of the causes it supports and publishes a special section highlighting the cause and sponsors prior to each event. A variety of tactics are used to promote each cause marketing event.

For more information on how to become involved with cause marketing, contact your Star Tribune representative or call 612-673-7777.
